I have my original TS switch on the bench. The 6 tabs with incoming wires all show continuity with the respective pins for the parking lights and turn signals.
But when I set the handle to left or right and test the pins for continuity for the parking lights nothing.
When looking at the switch, there are three tabs which I’m looking at and wonder whether the switch can be opened for further inspection.
Here’s pics of the tabs; 2 on the bottom, one on the top.

I had to clean the sliding contacts that get used for the turn signals. i had no continuity until i cleaned these sliding contacts.

@barefoot
That’s encouraging. How did you do it ? I’m not sure I’ve been able to see the sliding contacts.

used a mild acid, then water flush.

Thanks, gonna give that a try; what acid wash should I use ?

I would suggest maybe trying contact cleaner spray first, before soaking it in any acid.
