I know that the whole should be slightly oversized, seems like a good thing to check to get some coaching on exactly how much oversized. Not having done this a quarter inch over seems reasonable but I know there’s some seal fitment issues etc. that need to be considered.

Thanks and hope everyone has a good weekend ahead.

Just measure the hole diameter at the tank and cut to fit. The hole at the oil console should be the correct size so the oil console rubber cover is held in properly. The other holes don't hurt if they are a little larger. I did have to clearance the one at the bottom a bit so my A/N adaptor would fit on the tank without binding against the sheet mental.

Ah - thanks for the response. I suppose it’s easier to enlarge the hole once cut rather than shrink it.

there is an exact template in the "how to convert a 914-4 to a 914-6"

You will figure it out when you test fit. Remember, you attach the bottom line onto the tank, feed the line into the fender and then roll the tank forward and down into the spot. At first it may seem like it will never fit but once you get the motion, it makes sense. You don’t have to force it.

Thank you both for the follow up coaching in tips.
