After my (lengthy) rear caliper rebuilding adventure, I finally have my brakes bled with a really nice firm pedal.

Next, I'm replacing the front brake pads. After removing the pads, I found I only have 1 anti-rotation clip on the outboard side of the passenger side front caliper and both on the drivers side.

Referencing this older thread, which BTW shows in awesome detail the anti-rotation clips, are these anti-rotation clips necessary? If so, where can you buy them? I haven't anyone who sell them so far.

Look on Ebay, or usual parts suppliers. Usually come in caliper rebuild kit. Put WTB in classified, they are right and left orientation.

What do that do ?

I believe the intent of the piston cutout is to allow the pad rock slightly to promote even pad wear. The anti-rotation bracket attempts to keep the cutout in position.
