Correct Porsche 914-6 Weber 40 IDTP 13C3 / 13C1 pair, fully restored by Mike Pierce at Weber Carburetor Restoration in Salinas (formerly Pierce Manifolds). Approximately $3,000 was invested in the restoration.
Mike has restored over 10,000 pairs triple barrel Webers. Restored about one year ago. IDENTIFICATION • 40 IDTP 13C3 – serial 1808 • 40 IDTP 13C1 – serial 1517 • Genuine Italian Webers: "BREVETTATO" and "MADE IN ITALY" castings, not Spanish reproductions • The "1" after IDTP marks the 914-6-specific version (not 911T carbs re-labeled) • Correct left/right pair. Non-consecutive serials are typical of factory 914-6 sets. Carbs were first put his flow bench to test for leaks at the shafts and to compare the results after restoration. Mike has the original flow bench used by Weber in Bologna Italy. He assured me they will need no more than a 1/2 turn of any adjustment screw to be adjusted yo a stock 914-6 engine. RESTORATION • Complete teardown and full restoration • Throttle shafts re-bushed • Stock 914-6 jetting, ready for a correct 2.0 six • Bodies refinished, hardware re-plated, new gaskets throughout • Jet covers safety-wired as original INCLUDED • Both carburetors • 6 Velocity stacks with gaskets (factory 914-6 used an air cleaner; the stacks are an extra) Located in Riverside, CA. Local pickup welcome, or I can ship insured at buyer's cost. Happy to send more photos or close-ups of any stamping. $6,000 OBO. Serious inquiries only. No trades. Attached thumbnail(s) |
