Saturday and Sunday my car will be at the red barn with the attention of Ben installing flares and replacing a section in the rear of my trunk. Got me thinking since I’ll have that piece out, I’m wondering is there a better way to make the heat shield really shield the heat because it’s like a oven if you drive that car during the day in the summer. Of course there are possibilities maybe I could bake a cake if I had an hour long drive or I’d always have a warm change of clothes if I kept my suitcase back there or I could use it as a food warmer when bringing food to a potluck. Well, I’ve had this car for years and several before and never found any of those uses helpful and now that I have a oil cooler in the front also heat in the other trunk.

I have one of these - haven't checked what sort of a difference it has made but it can't hurt. I'd had it for a while and the last time I had my muffler off, I stuck it on.

Both sides and maybe that area of the underside of the trunk?

I have the Rix too...several years now and held up with no issue so the heat must be blocking somewhat too
