I have decided that I need the room and the 914 gets all the attention so it is time for someone else to enjoy my mustang. I posted the hemmings auction over in the classifieds...
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=377718 Apparently it is in early access only for April 3rd but tomorrow it will open for the general public. |

I say keep it. The 72E targa was sold 24years ago. So many of accounts were tied to that name. The 72E targa was actually my wife's car. She worked at a university at the time and was able to get email way before it was common. I was on some of the very early message boards back in the 90's before there were forums under the same user name. Still targa72e on all the car forums today.

I traded my 1967 fastback for my 914 in 1982. In 84, since I was in south Redondo bch., and they made one day a week for street sweeping I had to get rid of my truck, my 914 or my 1972 mustang convertible. I loved my mustangs but they didn't handle like a 914. Not even close. |

Sure when you give it the beans, but you can't do that often without getting arrested. Even in autocross, the mustang was fun but nothing like going all out in the 914. You should have seen my 13 year old sons face when I took him out during a couple runs of autocross last fall in the 914. He didn't care so much when I told him I was selling the mustang but he immediately said "don't you dare sell the 914, this is mine when you don't want it anymore". Just checked and the auction is now visible to everyone. |

I’ve used my Chad911sc on every forum under the sun…
I always join the forum of whatever car I building at the time, and I read for months on the gurus opinions of how to do each and every thing. Then I proceed with my plan. I do have to say that I’ve needed more help on this little car than anything I’ve ever built, and the guys here are top notch! 65 Fastback is the one I would have if I could. Just have never came across one at the right time. I’ve owned a 87GT 5 speed all through college and couldn’t keep tires on it. Had a 76 Rally Sport with a 400SB/350 crank/202 heads/411 posi rear end my senior year of High School. Got a few tickets in that one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) |
