Price seems fair for rust free - I have no relation to BHCC, just love going there in person when in LA - better than Disney or the Beach!

When we were down at the LA Lit Show, our first stop was BHCC. I was absolutely blown away by the inventory. They have everything from muscle cars to VW Bugs and Ferraris. My impression is they are selling cars which may have had hard lives for the price of cars that have been pampered, maintained and garaged their whole life. Not saying I would not buy a car from them, but one should exercise due diligence, see the car in person and inspect it thoroughly with someone knowledgable and offer accordingly. I met Alex and he was a very nice, welcoming, guy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Alex is a good guy trying really hard. Just the selection of Jaguar XKE's is worth the visit.

I was negotiating a bowing in the middle 914-6 all original (including the rust) a few years ago, I waited a week and it was gone..........he also had the absolutely most destroyed 914-6 (copper or perhaps yellow......grin) that I have EVER seen in my life, rust, neglect, UGH.....asking somewhere around 20, it move in 3 weeks - BUT IT WAS ALL ORIGINAL NUMBERS, case was in good shape........ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I believe he has an amazing network of buyers -

I also bid on an ALL ORIGINAL NO RUST 59 speedster a few years ago (was not even washed - with the original optional hard top) that he found in an LA garage. I was out bid by $$$$, I was 10 over his asking which I thought at the time was high. He sold it to a bidder in France......sigh..... https://youtu.be/XKkgV5SvgfA

Really a fun place - take the kids!

He's actually not. How pissed would you have been if you bought this 914/6, not knowing it was in a salt water hurricane?

Yea, that 914-6 copper was definitely underwater - the other car was battery Hell-Hole. But you kinda know if you know.

I am certain you remember this one:

Exactly. The owner might be a nice guy and fun to hang with but why buy a car from a place with well documented issues. He's certainly not the only game in town. At the very least, go see the car in person. Same with people buying cars off BAT. They think BAT gives the car some sort of certification. Almost any car looks good in pics.

A friend of mine recently pointed out a 911 recently sold on BAT that he knew had fallen off a two post lift, been repaired and then sold for $120K. No mention of the fall or the repair.

My favorite line in ads is - "no structural rust". Anybody who knows these cars knows that the rust usually starts in the structural parts of the car. The outer body that was painted 3 months ago for the quick sale won't have the rust.

Do your due diligence.
