not sure if its a factory entry, think it is but not positive. maybe a bilstein promo film. interesting fitment of the GT fender flares, pretty rough and ready. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isUfz7h-EEM amateur super 8 film of the 71 monte carlo rally. the 3 factory cars appear. and some fab other cars of the period. renault alpines. lancia fulvias. fiat 124. etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=capxIGjj_4w |

Sorry to say I don't have a 1971 RMC plate in my collection.
I do however have a 1972, and several dozen other years. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Great video! Lots of interesting details; the prep was definitely more of the “get it done” variety, the race seats are awesome (Scheel I believe) and these guys were not afraid to hang it out! Loved the parade of cool early 70’s cars and especially the fearless/foolish spectators - amazing that more weren’t killed! Thanks much for sharing!

Fun video, thanks. Yes it was Mister Magoo cutting the holes, but they used lead before the skim on the finish. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) And the finished product looked good.
