Well, now I've done it! While waiting for the 2.1 to co.2 back from Ken I did something I said I wasn't going to so, I pulled the harness off my 1.8 to get it cleaned up. I was going to leave that 1.8 intact so that I would have a reference for when I went to reassemble everything onto the 2.1.
I pulled the harness out and it's boxed up to go out to Jeff tomorrow. All in all, it looks okay for a 50 year old lump. Crossing my fingers that Jeff can give it a clean bill of health and clean up some of the funky electrical tape. I don't need no stinking reference, I have you good people. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Wish me luck! Ted |

generally speaking i photograph the living f#$k out of everything as i pull it apart to assist me putting it back together. its supposed to help me but often i fail even with the portfolio of images.
this has become especially so as i try and sort out my uncles mercedes CL500. nothing helps. even fool proof photography. though i am now an expert in offering advice to potential buyers of such vehicles. DON'T. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

I e done it with my 1.8L. Didn’t have FI when I got the car (or an engine for that matter). But it’s pretty easy to get it back in place. And connections? Eh, they’re all pretty easy to figure out. Once the sensors and such are in their respective spots the connections are positioned on the harness to be *right there*. Googling photos of a 1.8L engine bay will help and of course you have all of us.
