Working on installing 930 valve covers on a 6 conversion.
I need dimensions of the cut that needs to be made to make it work. Picture would also help either posted or emailed. Thanks in advance. |

If you sand off 5/16" from the fins, it fits.

So does removing a small area retain strength or create a stress riser vs sanding the entire top the same amount.

So does removing a small area retain strength or create a stress riser vs sanding the entire top the same amount. Well, I'm not a metallurgist but those pictures were taken 11 years ago, the covers are still on the engine, and I haven't had any leaks yet... Since the idea of the ribbing is to add overall rigidity to the covers, I would think taking almost half off the entire thing would have more of an impact. Just my 2 cents... |
