This switch on the side of the Motonic Unit for my 3.6 swap has 3 positions but not sure why or what it does. Thanks.Attached Image

Maybe a way to disable the car as a theft deterrent? Only real way to find out is to pull the cover.

Not stock…. You will need to open it up and see what it’s connected to. Could be the immobilizer or ? Since my Motor was from a tiptronic, I had to cut a wire to tell it my car is a manual.

3 position irrelevant - only two wires so it’s acting as on/off.

Ingo Schmidt repairs motronic ecu’s and knows them inside out. Super nice guy. I’ve had about 10 ecu repaired by him. Some that steve Wong told me were toast.
