I have a 1976 , I was wondering if this bushing would work for my car? I have a fair amount of side to side movement in my steering wheel . This part seemed like a cheap way to go but description says 72-74 914 .

In some research I did a while ago to fix my problem I came across this part for my 1976 but due to the price ( seems outrages) decided to not purchase and look for a cheaper fix .

That's outrageous. The 928 bearing support that fits 914s is around $35.00. The bearing itself is around $75.00.

So the question I forgot to ask is , Will the part in the post fix my problem (not the part I referred to) ? I can see the remains of some black plastic in the hole .

I’ve purchased that part 91434771100 for a couple customers cars over the years. I get them from my local Porsche dealer. They sell them for less than SSF (a huge Porsche wholesaler). It’s always been an expensive bearing but the price has barely changed in over 10 years.

I have one set aside for my 914-6 style steering column.
