Hey gang,
Dennis Collins, from Collins Brothers Jeeps and his 'Coffee Walk' youtube channel posted a video of he and his crew going out to purchase a a 914-6 (994th one) and a 914-4 parts car s in Iowa. I'm just now sitting down to watch the episode. Let's see how this goes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApBrqNqFVDA I hope it's a good episode, Ted |

Thanks for this link. A year or two ago he posted a video picking up a 6 and he said something to the effect of "These are simple cars and so people assume they are a simple restoration...they are not a simple restoration." He certainly is right about that.

I will need to look and find that episode, I haven't seen it yet.
This episode was kind of a dud, he's usually more informative and they typically go into the cars a bit more, maybe the cold weather kept it quick. Hopefully they will do a follow up down the road where they show the 6 a bit more. |

Agree, show was not up to par. Get in and get out. Food segment was as long as the car part.

I watched the episode and there was something off about the whole thing.......
In this day having a six under a sheet of plastic in a boat yard........weird........ Also, the owner/boat-yard-manager talking about how well the car runs (in the background) and then we see a shot of the carbs..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) For entertainment my favorite is ViceGrip - good combo of knowhow and showmanship. There are many that are better at the show or better at knowhow, Derrik has the right mix for me. |
