Just bought my 914-6 GT and the front oil cooler shroud is just resting in the frunk. Not excited about drilling into this beauty… is Velcro a crazy idea? What did ya’ll do? Pics?Attached Image

A magnet strip glued to the shroud may accomplish what you are looking for.
Another alternative may be gluing a nut onto the floor so you can screw into it without drilling a hole.

I bit the bullet and we installed riv-nuts; the shroud is aluminum and not going anywhere. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

You are cutting a big rectangular hole in the floor so how bad can it be to drop in some riv nuts or similar.

I’m building a big metal box that will be welded in but have a removable access panel for the cooler and a/c condenser. It won’t look at all like the GT piece but I don’t really care as long as it looks nice. I feel like the fiberglass shroud is more of a race piece than how I plan to use the car.

@mepstein Now you have my attention... A/C condenser and oil cooler. Hope you will share this in another thread. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

Sure but for right now, I'm adding electric a/c with a Classic Retrofit kit. Basically copying from @Steve

I'm with @Cairo94507 Michael. I don't have first-hand experience with the fiberglass shrouds - though two friends are installing them now - but they sure seem to fit poorly.
I vote that if you have the ability (or access to someone who can), fab your own from aluminum, that's the way to go to get the tidiest result. Plus you can say "I made that!".
All IMO, of course.

Chris - Your work on Michael's shroud was first class.

@kenshapiro2002 Check out my blog for how I did it.
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?aut...blogid=259&
I also used Patrick Motorsports leuvered bottom versus a big hole. Factory was two pieces. A bottom piece to help with air flow and the shroud.
I bought mine from Getty Design. I needed a bigger cooler for my 3.6 and AC condenser, so eventually made my own shroud.
https://gettydesign.com/category/914/coachwork/
I roughly just laid the shroud down, pencilled around it and cut a half inch to one inch in. Pretty obvious where to cut if you have both pieces.
