I have a long-term project I’ve been working on. GT flares,3.2-6 . 7” Fuchs front, 8” Fuchs rear
Anyone running Toyo 888r tires? I was thinking 225/50/15 in the front /235/50/15 rear
Any advice we’ll appreciated .

I am happily running Toyo Proxes R1R for dual duty. (225 - 50 - 16 on 8" Fuchs)

Your biggest problem will be finding the sizes you mentioned in any tire.

Hey Jeff, I hope all's well! I run 15's as well due to clearance and tires are pretty limited. Like a lot of the early car crowd I've got a set of the Michelin TB-series vintage tires (Coker) which look cool, period correct, but are modern construction tires. I find they are really bouncy compared to true modern tires, but could be a way to go.

Previously since my car was mainly track usage I put used Hoosiers on it if I went on the street but I had switched to non-streetable slicks for track.

I second the difficulty in 15s. I would say I am always surprised at how much the tire matters. It doesn't mean you have to spend a bunch, I tend to buy what was ranked best 2 years ago. You can frequently find a deal on those. Were you going to win that race with those tires 2 years ago?

Did I mention I hate spending more than 100 dollars on a tire? I do.
