I was told by a person I know who is a sales agent for them that they sell for $450k and the company plans to make more.
Personally, there are about 100 other cars I would buy first if I had $450k to spend on a vehicle. |

They are showing this car at every big event.
This modern recreation of the 914 is too extreme and too clunky for me. They tried too hard and blew way past "clean" The money ? Give me a GT3 RS, an Audi RS 6 and some change. OR....a GT 4 and plenty of change |

Rory. As you well know, the guys who buy this sort of car are operating in a whole different paradigm than most of us 914 guys . They have a whole different set of motives and financial constraints
It’s fun to see the creations that get put together to attract the attention of that high end collector/investor/ ego guy. Without that market we would not have Singer, Tuthill, Emory, Pagani and the like. My personal favorite is the Kimera EVO37. https://www.kimera-automobili.com/evo37-thetribute The right blend of style, engineering, nostalgia and mid engine boy racer panache for me. That thing is way cool!! Have not caught the Fifteen Eleven creation live and in person yet. My son has seen it several times and loves it. He thinks it a great combo of performance and quirky appeal. Maybe I’ll get to see it the upcoming Lime Rock Sunday histories show. |

I personally like most of the styling cues here...
Singer is a lot more subtle in their restyling, primarily because the 911 previously enjoyed a lot of other racing-inspired iterations from which to choose, so almost nothing is "shocking" it/s just a different mish-mash. As such, not having that visual history, the 914 tends to look "over made up" when you take it very far (and the Battleship Grey inspiration is beginning to get tiring). I agree that for $450k there are way too many other alternatives. But hey, glad to see the platform getting attention! |

That’s not going to age well.
Center console looks like it came from 80s Buick and the hood is trying way too hard. |

Can’t wait till this thing stops getting rehashed over and over. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)
I suspect that if they are having to show it everywhere and constantly push it as much as they are via social media, the orders and interest aren’t there. |

i win the lotto second division. 450K burning a hole in my pocket.
what do i do? buy 28 of these? rhd ones. i would nearly have half of all the ones in the world at the end of the driveway. 14 yellow ones. 14 blue ones. if i have any $ left over i drop one of the race series engines in 9 of them. 914 of the 90s? power narthing. heater - wear a coat. roof - get wet. cup holders-put it between your legs and squeeze. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1999-renault-spider/ https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/lf20/lots/r...t-sport-spider/ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

Just saw one of these at my local C&C. Really cool. Lots of nice trick engineering. Very cool French vibe (in a fun way). Nice build quality you won’t see another one. Monocoque construction But……
No roof. Windshield was an option. Average size Owner said pretty uncomfortable. Gotta choose to look under or over the windshield Got the impression it was very impractical. But….. Did I mention it was way cool!!! |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) its almost exactly the same size as a 14. with the race engine. something in the low 200 bhp i believe. and weight. low 900kgs. its pretty much a 914/6 GT i would think in terms of a driving experience. for way way way less $. if i had the dough and i could find one i think i would seriously consider getting it. i have a RS clio with a slightly later version of the engine. the engine is mad. revs to 7800 and the last 1500 to red line it steps up a whole other notch. legendary engine. if there are any in the states, probably private import. |
