I am still dealing with a small leak at my speedo gear at the back of the transmission.

I currently have the original bushing with only 1 o-ring and I have available the update version with 2 o-rings but I need to replace the seal in this one.

The problem I have is to get the seal to go in the bushing. It is a very tight fit and I already destroyed I seal trying. What is the method to get this in. Freeze the seal? Heat the bushing? Combination of both? Something else?

Use a long 10mm bolt, washer and nut to act as an install tool

Using this set-up to press in the seal? I guess that adding some gear oil will help in the seal getting in without being damaged.

If you don't have a press you can fake it with a bench vise or drill press. Some lube on the seal is always good too.

Use some silicon grease on the seal. It can be found on Amazon. Silicon grease makes tight seals slide right in.
