Looking for new pressure plate……one listed for 914-6 is also shown as part of “kit” for 4 cylinder cars so not sufficient for HP of engine.
Anyone able to give me part number for what I need without going exotic. Thanks |

I went with a Kennedy Engineering clutch kit for my 3.2 conversion.

Anyone able to give me part number for what I need without going exotic. Thanks 2.0 four is the same for 2.0 six. I put a 2.0 six flywheel on my 2.7 and used the same clutch. No slippage or issues. Nine bolt flywheel for 3.0 and above requires a KEP setup. |

Clutches and pressure plates don’t care about horsepower. Torque is what matters
914/6 2.0L was about 120 lb-ft 914/4 2.0L was about 116 lb-ft This is why the /6 and /4 share the “kit” Sachs and others publish the torque specs of their hardware if you’re doing something outrageous. Chart below is for standard clutch materials. Other friction and pressure plates available if you need more capacity. ![]() Max torque: 250Nm =184.391 lb-ft |

Originally the 914/4 friction disc had 4 springs, and 914/6 had six springs. but since the specs were so similar it made sense to just stock a 914/6 disc and PP to use with both and some 911's.
