I have done 20 plus sets now and have it down to an efficiency that allows for a good price . What I am offering is I drive to you you pay trip time and hotel/lodging if needed. Cost to TIG weld the flares on is $3200. I will get them welded (butt joint) and TIG them on and do basic grinding but nothing crazy as the body shops like to do final grind and hammer etc. This takes 1.5-2 days to complete. I just did a set a few weeks back and it took 1 long day and half to wrap up. If anyone is wanting this done or talk about it let me know.

Proper installation is important - financially. After McMark installed mine, I took it to the body shop for the paint work. The estimator called the owner out to look at it and the two finally said, these will require very little bodywork to be paint ready. I had to call Gilbert out to see it so he didn’t think I’d lost my mind with your estimate. Gilbert said @McMark had saved me $2000 or there about…

Ideally 2 people in the same area needs flares then I can spend the week there and there is a bunch of cost sharing

What a terrific idea, unfortunately I don't need flares on any of my 914's at the moment.

Just a thought...I'm willing to let you use shop space in LA area or Orange County/Riverside county. With planning I may have a guest room available.

It would also be good opportunity to gather a few teeners for a mini weld tech session. Although I'm surrounded by welding all day...I can always learn more.
