So I'm having a CRS moment. There is a 914 website (not 914world) that has great detail on the differences from model year to model year. Things like the tool kits, styles of the later jacks (there were 3) and so on. Was thinking it was P914.org, but nope.

Anyone know what site I am talking about? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I think you are talking about http://p914.com/ . Unfortunately, I haven't been able to connect to it for a couple months but thank goodness for the wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20190220014841/http://p914.com/

p914.org works and shows the same info as the dot com site.

It's still bustificated, same as it was back in 2016.

p914.net and .org A records refer to 71.69.70.82, host name cpe-71-69-70-82.triad.res.rr.com. However, the server is only configured to respond to .org

p914.com A record goes to 66.96.149.26, 26.149.96.66.static.eigbox.net, a totally different ISP. This server does not respond to requests for p914.com

Unfortunately, while one can get the main page if you browse to p914.org, the HTML code within the left bar is hard-coded to URLs at p914.com. Since that server does not respond, you eventually get a time out.

One can get to the info in the nav bars by right-clicking, copying the URL, pasting it into another tab, and manually changing the .com entry to .org. You'll need to do that for each link that refers to .com

WebArchive is a useful reference, but it didn't snag all of the JPGs because of the whole .org/.com thing. You can still find them on the p914 site by viewing the source code on the WebArchive, finding the jpg you want, then pasting it into a tab, removing the WebArchive code, and changing the p914.com to p914.org

Twitter page hasn't had any activity since 2014.

I sent an email to the .net address in the "contact" link. I don't expect to get a response. I suspect the person is either no longer alive or has totally lost interest in the project. But someone is still paying for the domain registry; it was last updated 12/12/19...due to expire 12/12/20.

If anyone knows who this is, if we can get access we can either download the site and host elsewhere or edit the site in place.
