@Mikey914

Can someone school me on installing the little plastic rollers on late door mechanisms? Old ones are riveted on and I'm guessing I can just pop those off and pop the new ones on but would rather know for sure before I wreck the existing worn, but functional, rollers.

Thanks Mark. Wish I could help Jim. I decided to leave the originals on and save the new ones as spares. What I originally thought was wear on the originals turned out to be little pockets molded into the face that I think might be there for grease reservoirs. Anyway, after cleaning them up, they looked pristine so I decided to let sleeping dogs lie.

I did try to pry one off with a panel trim tool but the force it required was more than I was willing to try. I was afraid I would bend something or worse. Looks like the new ones would pop on easier than the old ones pop off, so maybe cut the old ones with a blade first before trying to remove? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

My "go to" was to install with a vice grip. Lined the roller opening up to the the ball on the window regulator, tightened the grip and snapped it closed at minimum pressure.

The only rollers I changed were the ones at the bottom of the regulator that roll through the fixed channel. The riveted ones were left "as is" as they were in reasonably good condition.
